Server Ratings

Ratings are 1–5 star reviews left by members of your server. They appear on your bump card and in the /discover feed, helping new members decide whether to join.

How members rate your server

Members run /rate in your server and select a star value from the drop-down. The interaction is ephemeral (only visible to them). They can update their rating at any time by running /rate again.

Eligibility requirements

To rate a server, a user must:

  • Currently be a member of the server
  • Have been a member for at least 24 hours
  • Have a Discord account at least 30 days old
  • Not be the server owner

Server owners cannot rate their own server.

Where ratings appear

  • Bump cards — the star display and average score shown when your ad is delivered to another server's invite channel
  • Discover feed — shown alongside your server in /discover results and the Discover Channel
  • Your dashboard — the current rating and count are visible on your server overview

Visibility threshold

Ratings are only shown publicly once your server has at least 5 ratings. Below that threshold, no score is displayed — this prevents unrepresentative averages from a handful of votes.

Notes

  • There is no limit on how many members can rate your server
  • Ratings are not moderated — if you believe a rating was submitted in bad faith, contact support
  • The average is a simple mean of all submitted ratings
